Background
Futuuns is a state funded project run by three TKK ( Helsinki University of Technology ) students and one alumni. The production team shares profound experience in digital media and audio production. The idea behind Futuuns has risen from the team’s own needs.
What is Futuuns about?
In Futuuns we are building a web service for audio producers and their clients. We aim to deliver a service that will support collaboration in audio productions as well as create new business opportunities for the producers.

Arto Tolonen
Arto is the man behind the idea of Futuuns and leads the development process. He studies digital media and content production at the Department of Media Technology at TKK. He is a skillful programmer and has work experience from several companies as a developer. During his freetime he produces hip hop music and runs his own indie label Be At Music with Teemu.

Kimmo Nurmisto
Kimmo is the man behind the marketing and communications in Futuuns. He is also in charge of the creative direction of the web page. Kimmo did his Master’s Thesis on usability in TU-Berlin and graduated from TKK in the fall of 2008. He already has a great amount of valuable work experience in the fields of digital media production and sales and marketing. He has worked for an international start-up company in Berlin as well as for digital advertisement agencys in Helsinki. Kimmo joined the Futuuns team in the spring of 2009.

Tommi Koskinen
Tommi is designing community features and the user interface in Futuuns. He studies content production at the Deparment of Computer Science and Engineering at TKK and has previous work experience from audio design, project management and user interface design for games and web pages. His audio production affiliates and clients include some well known Finnish artists and game development studios. This experience provides him a good insight on how the audio producers and their clients work. On top of that he actively creates his own music and does gigs in Helsinki. Tommi has been part of the Futuuns team since the beginning of it.

Teemu Yli-Hollo
Teemu has been developing the concept of Futuuns since the beginning of the project. He is also one of our main programmers. He is currently writing his Master’s Thesis in TKK on usability of the Futuuns service. Previously he has been working as a web developer and a technical architect in a well known Finnish digital media agency. He also has a lot of experience in music production and is currently working on his new album. The album is going to be released by the end of this year by the Be At Music label.
